The Dreadnought Hoax - Virginia Woolf
I have just been chuckling over the Dreadnought hoax which Virginia was asked to
join at the last moment. She certainly had an interesting life. Dressed as an
Abyssinian, Adrian (her brother) and others along with Virginia pretended to be visiting dignitaries and got a guided tour of the HMS Dreadnought. Nothing would have
come of it, if the ringleader, Horace Cole, had not leaked the story to the
press.
Sounds just like a student prank.
